Duotone Carve 3.0 vs Glide 2.0 - first impressions

I used the Carve 3.0 950 for the first time yesterday - it was a 4m day and flat water. After a couple of hours on the water, I'd sum it like this:

If the Glide was friend it would be the one who plans a night out so everybody has a good time. If the Carve was in charge there would be no plan but you'd clear your diary for the following day. It's a party animal of a foil.

I've used the Glide 2.0 900 a lot and it's a super capable foil that gives you the platform to progress your skills - little wonder that Duotone has sold a lot of them. But… I can honestly say that I've never come off the water with a bigger grin etched to my face than after my first session on the Carve 3.0.

It turns faster than my old synapses can handle, it's quick, it jumps like it's got bored with the water and wants to return to its natural habitat. It asks for the perfect amount of front foot pressure and all the time it's saying to you "Is that all you've got?". I think that I've found my new best friend.

I'll come back with a proper review when I've spent more time on it - I honestly can't wait!

FYI I used SLS version of the Carve 3.0 with the PX175 stab and 66 fuselage. I ride a Duotone Sky Style SLS 4'11", 84cm Slim DLab mast, Unit wings.
